This page explains how your data is processed when you visit holonexus.de or contact me.
Controller
Dr. Jan-Hendrik Weinert, Holo Nexus, Kirschbaumweg 27a, 60489 Frankfurt am Main, Germany. For privacy questions or to exercise your rights, contact me at mail@holonexus.de.
Website and hosting
The website runs on a server hosted by STRATO GmbH, Otto-Ostrowski-Straße 7, 10249 Berlin, Germany. A visit involves processing technically necessary data: your IP address, the time and destination of the request, data volume, response status, and the browser, operating system and referring page information provided by your browser. This supports website delivery, troubleshooting and protection against abuse. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR; my legitimate interest is operating a secure and reliable website. STRATO receives data as the hosting provider. See STRATO's privacy information for more details.
Technical logs
The web server rotates its logs daily and retains at most 14 archived files alongside the current file. Retention depends on rotation days; during continuous operation this amounts to approximately 15 days. Additional website-container logs are overwritten when their size limit is reached; at most two files of 5 MiB each are retained. Entries relating to a specific security incident may be kept separately for investigation and legal claims for as long as needed. Logs are not analysed for visitor profiles or advertising.
Contact form
The form prepares an email draft in your browser using your name, email address, topic and message. Organisation and event details are optional. The website does not submit these entries to a form server or store them persistently. Copying the draft writes it to your clipboard. Only when you send the message in your email application does your email provider transmit it to mail@holonexus.de. You choose which information to send; I cannot reply without contact details.
Email and forwarding to Gmail
Messages to mail@holonexus.de are received by STRATO and automatically forwarded to my Gmail inbox. A copy remains in the STRATO mailbox. STRATO and Google receive sender and recipient details, the content, any attachments and technical delivery information. Google Ireland Limited in Ireland is responsible for Gmail in the European Economic Area; affiliated companies such as Google LLC in the United States may also process data. I use your information to answer your enquiry and prepare a possible engagement. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR for steps prior to a contract or its performance, and Article 6(1)(f) GDPR for other enquiries, based on my legitimate interest in handling your message. See Google's privacy policy for more details.
Processing outside the EU
Using Gmail may involve processing outside the EU and the European Economic Area, particularly in the United States. Google describes the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and, where required, Standard Contractual Clauses as bases for relevant transfers. Details of these safeguards and further documents are available in Google's international data transfer information.
Retention of enquiries
I retain your message for as long as needed to handle your enquiry or a resulting engagement. The data is then deleted unless statutory retention duties or the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims require it to be kept. Statutory retention is based on Article 6(1)(c) GDPR. Retention for legal claims is based on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.
Cookies, local files and animations
This website does not set its own cookies or use analytics tools or advertising trackers. Fonts, images and scripts are loaded from holonexus.de. Language, scenario and animation-control choices are not stored persistently. Animations start by default, including on mobile devices, and can be paused using the Motion control. Your browser may cache website files in its usual cache. There is no automated decision-making or profiling within the meaning of Article 22 GDPR.
Links to other websites
Book websites, LinkedIn and event websites are included as ordinary links. This website does not load embedded content from those providers. A connection to another website is made when you follow a link; that website's privacy information then applies.
Your rights
Subject to the legal conditions, you can request access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing and data portability under Articles 15 to 20 GDPR. Where processing is based on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time with effect for the future. Contact mail@holonexus.de to exercise these rights.
Right to object
Where processing is based on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR, you can object on grounds relating to your particular situation under Article 21 GDPR. I will then stop processing the data concerned unless compelling legitimate grounds or legal claims justify continued processing.
Right to complain
You can lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, particularly where you live, work or believe an infringement has occurred (Article 77 GDPR). The authority responsible for my location is the Hessian Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information: Wilhelmstraße 7, 65185 Wiesbaden, Germany. See the HBDI complaint information.
